Camp - Even in November

Well - it will be our last visit to camp for the year/winter season. After hunting this week, Barry and Linda will close it up & winterize it. Then, they will head off to Aruba in January!

We took advantage of our last opportunity though, with two nights in the woods! As always, the kids loved it! It snowed (barely) one day, which prompted the re-dressing of winter gear, so they could have a snowball fight. It melted after about 10 snow balls were thrown.

Other then that, we were indoors, eating and drinking too much - as always! We huddled together to watch the losing Michigan Wolverines & wallow in the pity of such a horrible game vs the Buckeyes! The cousins played perfectly together & we could not have asked for better!!

Christmas Parade

With a high of 25 degree's & the wind whipping off the lake - it sure was one cold parade! Kids were bundled in layers: long underwear, snow pants, 2 hats, gloves. Momma's had the long underwear and head coverage, but not much more. But, the bigger kids froze with just coats and hats. Hmmm.... fashion doesn't = warmth!!

Funny thing was watching the kids attempt to move and pick-up the candy from the floats! Of course, little Miss got frustrated and just wanted to grunt, when other kids got the candy!

Santa ended the parade, which started Nolan singing holiday carols & he hasn't stopped yet!

Christmas with the Canfield's!

Yes - It's the Canfield year for Christmas ON Christmas, but our calendar will not allow. So, we made a hasty plan to all meet for Thanksgiving & celebrate Christmas early.

Linda got the house decorated... although she didn't need to.... However, the KIDS LOVED IT! (Especially since our house is far from Christmas ready!) Yes - the Halloween candy buckets are still out!!

It was great for the family to all be there & celebrate family, fun, Thanksgiving, and Christmas!

Kindergarten leads Mass!

Nolan was supposed to be a reader, but as the date approached, he told Ms. Weber that he could not do it. Anxiety took over.
So, we planned for the worst - Him running out! And, again were rewarded with the BEST!
While you could easily see the tension in Nolan's body - He did it!

He walked in with Father Vince, holding the School plate. He held the responsorial poster, with Michael, looking out at the congregation! AND, he walked the communion to Father Vince.

All big things he tackled. Next mass that Kindergarten leads - He promises to read.

The class did great & this was with HUGE readings for the day! Of course, we couldn't understand alot of what they said - with those cute tiny voices & teeth missing, so it distorts their words.... but it sure was delightful!!
