Water Lab at the Library

What fun was had by Nolan & Jillian at the Mooresville Library Water Lab!! It was an hour of water fun and experiments. My water babies didn't take long to figure out they could hop inside the kiddie pools & soon were the only really "hands on" kids!

It was a great afternoon, after Nolan's 1st morning of swim lessons - where, he chose not to participate! So, I honestly was not expecting participation at the Library either!

Oh "Dam"...and another 4 inches

No worries, my friends. Despite the fact that a dam burst in 2 area's north of us and 4" of rain fell in one night...& the fact that our specific town was issued multiple flash flood warnings, very little got flooded.

Mooresville did flood, roads were closed, and I had to detour to get Jillian to swim lessons...but, nothing happened at our house!!

Now, I am sure that we will just have to fight the mosquito's!! Oh goody!!

Fun at the Hipsky's

Our Saturday fun continued at the Hipsky's, for some water play, dinner, fireworks, and cocktails!! The water was FREEZING!!! But, the kids did not flinch! It was too hot of a day to bother!! Even Mom, Dad, and Ashley made it into the pools! Refreshing!!

Fabulous food! Thanks Kerri!! I need that Taco dip recipe! It keeps screaming my name, even today!!

And our evening ended with fireworks & s'mores in the backyard.

1st meltdown didn't happen til 11:00 PM... How did we escape with such an easy afternoon and evening??!!

Saturday Run for Ronald

We had a really busy Saturday! We began with a 5k walk around Downtown Indianapolis at 8AM, supporting the Ronald McDonald house!
We had the privilege to walk with team All for Ellie, supporting our friends Katie and Jeff. We were blessed to become friends through St Thomas More church & prenatal classes back in 2005. Ellie lost her battle around the age of 1, but her legacy lives on - as All for Ellie won 2nd place for most team $$ collected & 1st place for most paying group participants!!

I hope to have a team photo posted later! While we took our camera, we never got it out of the bag, so I have to wait on others!

The kids did great! Of course, neither Nolan or Jillian walked. They were carted around in a double stroller - adding to the work out for Mom and Dad!! Ashley joined us & made it a complete family event!! (Don't expect Nolan to be in the group photo... you know the drill on his "love" for getting a picture taken!!)

Well - Here we go!! My first attempt at a family blog!!
Hopefully, it's going to be a great way to share our family adventures, will all of our family and friends - who can't always be celebrating with us!!

Since this is my first attempt... I hope those professional bloggers will help lend some advice, as I go along!!
