Insects! @ Pioneer Park

Nolan & John went exploring for Insects, with the direction of Pioneer Park. It was hotter then hot, so Nolan lost interest pretty quickly. But then, with Jillian on her bike - of course, his attention was distracted.

Group pictures of all kids on the exploration taken.... AND of course, No Nolan.

The dilemma of "people" and "picture" all in the same moment!

Christian's Grad Party

Hoorah! I am caught up from 2 weeks of blog-needed updates! Yesterday, we spent our last day in the Lou for Christian's Grad Party. It was great seeing family and friends, but I feel like it was my wedding! Not enough time to talk with everyone & I feel horrible about that!!!

As usual, the Canfield's came with drama. His name.... Nolan. After an entire weekend of him refusing to speak to anyone & hiding from everyone, we are pretty definite that Nolan is suffering from a social anxiety disorder. While I won't bore you with the details, this weekend was the topper to a very long and drama-driven month! We came home & I promptly typed up a letter, with a month worth of examples, for his therapist. We will await and see happens next.

Jillian - loved being in St Louis; Loved hanging with the family and friends; Loved Aunt Carol's presents and chasing the kitty cats; And loved Christian's cake!!!

St Louis Children's Museum

Traveled to the Lou for Christian's grad party & decided to be tourist's Saturday morning. We headed to the Science Center. While the Pirate adventure was not really what Nolan expected, Jillian loved the Build-a-Bear, while we waited for Dad and brother to return.

Of course - it was Build-a-Kitty... whom she named "Purple".

Fourth of July weekend

It was a crazy busy 4th of July weekend, but we squeeked out 1 day with the Wingate's at Lake Monroe, along with fireworks at night (home and Pioneer Park).

Nolan did GREAT in the lake. We expected him to need constantly holding, but he was an "old pro" it seemed on the noodles & using his life vest! He had a blast with Reece & their constant need to drench someone with cups of water!
Jillian was Okay. But then again, I threw her off the back of the boat into the water. Later, I jumped with her off the back of the boat, so she was a good 5 feet down. Needless to say, I may have scared the ba-je-zee's out of her with those tactics of water entry!
Ashley joined us, as well. She got out of the water for only a couple seconds to lay on the front of the boat. Needless to say, the Wingate's have never had so many single boys swim to the boat! And Jason had to scare away a couple, when they attempted to drive off with Ashley in their boat!
John never left the water once! He could have stayed another couple hours, if the kids weren't "ready".
Me - loved the boat... just not enough to buy one. Sorry to squash that dream, John!

Ended with fireworks at our house & at Pioneer Park. Jillian loved the fireworks & provided the color commentary. Nolan - was Nolan. After the first pop, he wanted to go home.

Aah! Differences amongst siblings! Gotta love diversity!

Our 10 year anniversary!

Can't imagine that someone who put up with me for 10 years, but it is officially so! June 29th! John and I had a great "date night" with tapas and a movie.
